Open World event for Early Career Researchers at Senate House in London

The ten PDRAs currently employed on the MEITS project, together with the project PI, attended a meeting organised by the AHRC in London for all the Early Career Researchers across the four OWRI projects. Each PDRA gave a three-minute summary of their research, underlining how these projects will contribute to revitalising modern languages research and inspiring the next generation to study languages.

“Bringing PDRAs together from the OWRI projects was a fantastic opportunity for us to share ideas, experiences and approaches from a broad range of disciplines in a friendly and approachable atmosphere. I particularly liked how we were encouraged to get to know each other and learn about our respective research, establishing useful contacts for future collaborations and cross-project initiatives.”
John Bellamy, PDRA in Strand 2 of the MEITS project.
