A PhD student with Strand 4 of the MEITS project, Harper's research focuses on the development and negotiation of multilingual identity by adolescent learners during the L3 acquisition process. Her project aims to explore what factors impact, positively or negatively, upon the construction of a plurilingual sense of self in different contexts of learning. Prior to joining MEITS, Harper completed a masters in theoretical linguistics and has worked in the fields of foreign language teaching and translation in both France and Denmark.
