Harper joined the MEITS project as the PhD student with Strand 4. Her research focuses on the development and negotiation of multilingual identity by adolescent learners during the L3+ acquisition process. Her project aims to explore what factors impact, positively or negatively, upon the construction of a plurilingual sense of self in different contexts of learning. Prior to joining MEITS, Harper completed a masters in theoretical linguistics and has worked in the fields of foreign language teaching and translation in both France and Denmark.
